Objective: To learn about shaders and rendering by hands-on interaction with Maya.
1.) Go through Chapter 8, Lesson 2 in the Getting Started With Maya Guide. You can download the sample file used in the lesson here.
2.) Create and shade the ice cream cone similar to below. Use Phong, Blinn and Lambert shaders.
3.) Now onto the creative part! There are three possible options to choose from (choose at least one):
Take what you made in part 2 and apply some bumpmapping and texture to make it look more like a real ice cream cone. See if you can beat the image below (shouldn't be hard).
Take your model from the previous lab and shade it.
Start over from scratch and push the limits of your imagination!
